Has anyone ever contacted you via Instagram and reminded you how they humanly have known you?

One afternoon while surfing on the internet I received at a message on the gram (a mode of communication I seldom frequent) and this beautiful woman named Christine reminded me of how we were connected.

At that time, I was trying to practice the art of saying YES and so I did. She attempted to explain what I would singing and the type of instrumentation. Piano, Oboe and Cello and 2 of the three foreign to a jazz vocalist. There is also a story of a moment when the character is understanding something traumatic so the suggestion of ‘oos” and “aws”.  I was down for an adventure and Christine the producer of this project is very convincing and exciting! We have a phone call and I am not going to lie, I was unclear but still curious but slightly worried.

As you will see in this promotional clip that I got nervous and was very unsure that I could give the producer what she truly wanted.

There is a moment as a human that you just doubt yourself and think you are not qualified to do something that is out of your comfort zone. The Studio time was set for noon and I got in an Uber and went to a small studio in Fremont called the Hall of Justice that all of us have driven by 100 times and I see an engineer, a beautiful woman who I met a few times and a cameraman!! Yes, I was sweating and yes, I was worried but again Christine Clifton-Thornton is a very convincing and confident person, so I became reassured. Please take a moment to click on the link below so you can get a glimpse of this experience. There will be more to come as this project evolves.
