Marco is a Brazilian musician, originally from Rio de Janeiro. He graduated from the prestigious Music Conservatory of Rio de Janeiro under Juarez Carvalho and Sergio Vale. He studied composition and harmony under Luiz Eça and Ronaldo Miranda. Marco began playing guitar at the age of 14 and played in clubs, universities, and festivals throughout Brazil, USA and Europe. Marco has been a performance guitarist, composer, and arranger for thirty years. He plays an extensive repertoire of music from Rio de Janeiro as well as his own compositions. Marco has played with many musicians in Brazil and the USA. He has recorded on numerous CDs and soundtracks also producing and arranging.
Drew Baddeley holds a Master of Music Degree in Bass Performance from Central Washington University. In addition to being a teaching artist with Seattle Music Partners,
Drew helps coach Jazz Ensembles at Jackson High School, Heatherwood Middle School, and is the Jazz History and History of Rock & Roll Professor at Central Washington University’s Sammamish Campus. When he is not teaching, Drew is also an on-call bassist and arranger around the Greater Seattle area.
The historic Mann building that houses The Triple Door was originally home to the Embassy Theatre, a vaudeville house that opened in 1926. Built by the Mann and Gallatly families from Wenatchee, the theatre quickly transitioned to films as public tastes began to change in the late 1920s.
